18th Garden Party Marquee Near Wareham

It’s the end of March, and the start of the marquee season is upon us. We’re glad to see the sunshine making a more regular appearance, with springtime vibes filling the air.

This weekend, we had the pleasure of setting up a garden party marquee just outside Wareham, towards Corfe Castle, for an 18th birthday party. We’ve worked at this property numerous times for the same client, and it’s always lovely to catch up and realise how time has flown since our last visit – it must be a couple of years.

The client opted for a classic garden party marquee setup. A 6m wide by 18m long clearspan marquee provided ample room for their 70 guests to eat and dance. The spec was relatively low-key, with matting covering the ground and fairy lights running through the ceiling of the structure.

The marquee was equipped with the all-important dance floor, and trestle tables with folding wooden chairs for the food part of the event.  An indirect diesel heater was installed to help combat the chilly evenings we’re still experiencing at this time of year. It was a great job to kick off the season.

In addition to the marquee, we also supplied and installed three 5m bell tents, offering extra sleeping space for when the partygoers were ready to crash and burn.

Client Review:

We have contacted Neal at Camelot for 4 marquees over the years. All very different requests of winter birthday parties, summer lunch for an 80th with much needed protection from British summer and a wedding marquee. Every time, Neal understands exactly what we are looking for, is mindful of the budget and responds so quickly with all the information. It has made throwing a large party, which is daunting, easier with Camelot taking care of so much of the important details. Providing tables, chairs (in different designs), lighting, heating and decoration depending on how much dressing up the marquee needs. On arrival they literally get the party started! There have never been any hitches, prices are completely worth their hard work and what they provide. Neal is more than happy to add or take away elements if things are not quite right on the day. Neal and James put up our most recent marquee and I want to thank them so much for their hard work.
